Building from the success of our recent trip, we will be offering an additional night stay at an amazing price!. We are returning to the beautiful island of Mallorca, which is paradise for cyclists. This is a mixed trip which be taking place between 26 – 31st March 2024 (5 night, 6 days). Spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
This is guaranteed to be a fun-filled trip where you can do as little or as much cycling as you wish. Also included in the price is evening entertainment (party/games nights), use of the spa, an exclusive, limited edition NLCC On Tour t-shirt, good food and good company, all with the opportunity for you to make lifelong friendships with a fantastic group of people.
Either tight-fitting or loose-style, are a must. If you can, pay more for high quality. You will need two pairs each, or one pair that you wash each night. (This will only work if the weather is warm enough to dry the shorts each night.) If you are a little self-conscious about your legs or you are worried that you’ll feel the wind-chill, take a pair of three-quarter length cycling tights with you, too. Choose bibbed shorts or waist shorts depending on your preference but remember that bibbed shorts will require you to strip off your top if you need to use the toilet!.
Could be short or long-sleeves (or a selection of) t-shirts and jerseys. Again, it’s comfort that you are looking for in your cycling tops. Choose sweat-wicking sports t-shirts or cycling-specific jerseys that are loose enough to allow your arms and shoulders freedom of movement, but not so baggy that the top is annoyingly flappy when cycling. Your cycle top should have a back that is long enough to cover your lower back to avoid windchill and sunburn while cycling. Many people choose cycling jerseys with useful pockets in the back. Take a couple of tops and wash the one you’re not wearing.
The useful items of kit are perfect for any cycling trip that takes you into the
mountains. Many people are surprised by how cold the mountain tops and descents can be and a pair of arm or leg warmers popped into your jersey pockets, and then worn when you feel the chill, can make a huge difference to comfort levels.
Lightweight jackets should be small enough to fit into a jersey pocket or a small backpack. A lightweight rain-proof jacket is advisable also.
If you are cycling longer distances a pair of cycling shoes that clip into pedals will make a massive difference to your pedalling power.
If you don’t already use cleats and would like to use them in Mallorca then It is a good idea to practise cycling with cleats and pedals before the holiday. If you are hiring a bike, you could bring your own pedals and bike shoes so that you know that you’ll be comfortable with the set-up.
Most cycle tour companies insist on customers wearing a bike helmet and, most cyclists know the safety benefits of a helmet. Bring your own for extra comfort or hire a helmet when you hire a bike.
It is advisable that you bring your own saddle for your comfort.
Most bikes have a bottle cage, or two, fitted so take advantage and bring a bike water bottle. Adequate hydration is vital on cycling holidays, especially in warmer countries.
Sweaty hands and holding on to the handlebars for days of riding mean that your hands will become sore and raw if you do not wear cycling gloves. The gloves also offer vital protection from the hot sun. Take a couple of pairs with you.
This useful item can be worn to protect your neck or head from sunburn, or for keeping your ears warm when starting out on a chillier morning.
Garmin, Wahoo, etc. to download the routes.
You will not be provided with a mount so please bring your own, some bike computers came with a temporary mount.
To ensure that your bike computer/mobile is kept sufficiently charged during your rides.
So that you can charge up all of your electronic devices

We would recommend that you take out travel insurance in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. This includes the need for any urgent medical assistance, loss of property, damages, etc. If you have existing travel insurance, it is worth checking your cover as most policies exclude anything other than leisurely riding and will exclude cycling if that is the primary reason for your trip.
NLCC will not accept liability for any loss, damage or injury during this trip.

The popular adage “ What happens in xxxxx stays in xxxx”, is one I planned to apply to NLCC Mallorca cycling trip but after the wonderful experience I had , it would be a crime not to share.
This was a first for me and considering I was a late joiner, I would have been very disappointed to have missed out with the knowledge I now have.
Great company, great weather, great banter.
What a joy to cycle in a “cycling friendly” environment where the motorists give you a wide berth.
Quiz night (we woz robbed but at least I wasn’t on Table 5) was great fun .
Party night, line dancing ( in and out of sync ).
Loads of banter covering a host of topics such as suitcase choices, cabin or hold luggage etc.
Sign me up for next year as I’ve packed already. 23 Kilos.
First time ever on a cycling trip and I couldn’t have gone with a nicer bunch of people. With limited road cycling experience, I had no reason to feel nervous as the NLCC group leaders took such good care of us- shout out to Rhoma and Caroline. Their patience and professionalism was second to none as they expertly guided Group 3 set through the 3 days of cycling. Shout out to the organisers- the hotel was on point and the planned activities in the evening was great! Never a dull moment from start through to finish. Met some really nice folks from the sane to the downright insane! Can’t wait till the September trip
