Mallorca Apr 2025
Events: Mallorca Apr 2025

For the third year running, NLCC are returning to the beautiful island of Mallorca. Why are you going back, you may ask? That’s easy, Mallorca is a cycling paradise for cyclists of all abilities. There are miles and elevations for more experienced riders, and flats, great cycling lanes, and more important, patient drivers for those who are at the start of their cycling journey.

Our trip will be taking place between 15 – 20th April 2025 (5 night, 6 days). Spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

As well as daily cycling routes for riders of all abilities, we also offer an excellent social element to our trip. This includes themed nights, including games, quizzes and a party night!

We will be staying at a bike friendly hotel on a half board basis with breakfast and dinner included in the package. The hotel also offers spa facilities, a swimming pool and other amenities that will keep you occupied should you decide that you want to take a day or two away from riding.

Also included in the price is airport transfer (depending on your arrival/departure times) and our exclusive, limited edition NLCC On Tour t-shirt & LeCol Jersey!

So if you want the opportunity to enjoy cycling, good food alongside having the opportunity for you to make lifelong friendships with a fantastic group of people, then this is the trip for you!

Padded shorts

Either tight-fitting or loose-style, are a must. If you can, pay more for high quality. You will need two pairs each, or one pair that you wash each night. (This will only work if the weather is warm enough to dry the shorts each night.) If you are a little self-conscious about your legs or you are worried that you’ll feel the wind-chill, take a pair of three-quarter length cycling tights with you, too. Choose bibbed shorts or waist shorts depending on your preference but remember that bibbed shorts will require you to strip off your top if you need to use the toilet!.

Cycling tops

Could be short or long-sleeves (or a selection of) t-shirts and jerseys. Again, it’s comfort that you are looking for in your cycling tops. Choose sweat-wicking sports t-shirts or cycling-specific jerseys that are loose enough to allow your arms and shoulders freedom of movement, but not so baggy that the top is annoyingly flappy when cycling. Your cycle top should have a back that is long enough to cover your lower back to avoid windchill and sunburn while cycling. Many people choose cycling jerseys with useful pockets in the back. Take a couple of tops and wash the one you’re not wearing.

Arm and leg warmers

The useful items of kit are perfect for any cycling trip that takes you into the
mountains. Many people are surprised by how cold the mountain tops and descents can be and a pair of arm or leg warmers popped into your jersey pockets, and then worn when you feel the chill, can make a huge difference to comfort levels.

Cycling Jacket

Lightweight jackets should be small enough to fit into a jersey pocket or a small backpack. A lightweight rain-proof jacket is advisable also.

Bike shoes

If you are cycling longer distances a pair of cycling shoes that clip into pedals will make a massive difference to your pedalling power.

Pedals

If you don’t already use cleats and would like to use them in Mallorca then It is a good idea to practise cycling with cleats and pedals before the holiday. If you are hiring a bike, you could bring your own pedals and bike shoes so that you know that you’ll be comfortable with the set-up.

Bike helmet

Most cycle tour companies insist on customers wearing a bike helmet and, most cyclists know the safety benefits of a helmet. Bring your own for extra comfort or hire a helmet when you hire a bike.

Saddle

It is advisable that you bring your own saddle for your comfort.

Water bottles

Most bikes have a bottle cage, or two, fitted so take advantage and bring a bike water bottle. Adequate hydration is vital on cycling holidays, especially in warmer countries.

Cycling gloves

Sweaty hands and holding on to the handlebars for days of riding mean that your hands will become sore and raw if you do not wear cycling gloves. The gloves also offer vital protection from the hot sun. Take a couple of pairs with you.

Buff

This useful item can be worn to protect your neck or head from sunburn, or for keeping your ears warm when starting out on a chillier morning.

Bike computer

Garmin, Wahoo, etc. to download the routes.

Bike computer mounts

You will not be provided with a mount so please bring your own, some bike computers came with a temporary mount.

Battery Pack

To ensure that your bike computer/mobile is kept sufficiently charged during your rides.

Travel Adapter

So that you can charge up all of your electronic devices

Covid-19:

Unless you are travelling from China, Spain does not require any proof of vaccination, a negative test result, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate to enter the country, regardless of your vaccination status.

Passport validity

Your passport must be:

  • Issued less than 10-years before the date that you entered the country
  • Valid at least three months after the date that you plan to leave.

You must check that your passport meets these  requirements before you travel.

Visa

You can travel up to 90 days in any 180 day period without a visa. Please check that your passport has been stamped if you enter or exit Spain as a visitor. Border guards will use passport stamps to check that you are complying with the 90-day visa-free limit for short stays in the Schengen zone. If you are asked to use an E-gate, make sure you get your passport stamped by a border officer. If you do not have the stamp, they will presume that you have overstayed your visa-free limit and no-one wants to be banged up abroad!

Additional Documents Required by Tourists

UK Nationals entering the Schengen zone may need to provide additional documents at the border. As well as a valid as a return or onward ticket, it is possible that travellers to Spain may also be asked to:

  • Show that you have enough money for your stay
  • Show proof of accommodation for your stay, for example a hotel booking confirmation

Travel Insurance

We would recommend that you take out travel insurance in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. This includes the need for any urgent medical assistance, loss of property, damages, etc. If you have existing travel insurance, it is worth checking your cover as most policies exclude anything other than leisurely riding and will exclude cycling if that is the primary reason for your trip.

NLCC will not accept liability for any loss, damage or injury during this trip.

No Limit Cycling Club operates a no refund policy. In the event that you wish to cancel your booking, your payment is non-refundable and you will only receive a refund if you are able to arrange a replacement for your booking.

We reserve the right to refuse your booking.

When you book on the trip, as part of the terms and conditions you agree to be bound by our policies and procedures.

A full itinerary will be published as soon as we’ve finalised the details.
